Madelyn Ammon grew up studying art in Toledo, Ohio. She retired to Bradenton in 1993 and pursued her interest in watercolors. She took lessons from local painters and spent hours painting with friends and teachers. She continued to paint throughout her life, painting some of her best work this year in her “butterfly” stage at age 97. Madelyn left this Earth in peace on August 1, 2019, and was my beloved mother and best friend. – Jennifer Ammon
