Flashback

Kenton K. Yee

it happens every so often
when he visits the desk
he can’t bear to clean
and catches her scent,
silent as a Monarch
alighting on a comma
then a flash of orange
and gone

Kenton K. Yee’s recent poems appear (or will soon appear) in Plume Poetry, The Threepenny Review, TAB Journal, BoomerLitMag, Sugar House Review, Terrain.org, Rattle, Constellations, South Carolina Review, Hollins Critic, Mantis, and Cutthroat, among others.
