I’ve already seen so much,

I don’t think this is normal to experience. 

People tell me I’m brave

But I’m never at ease. 

My brain is flushing out everything at once

I don’t think this is normal to experience. 

People tell me I’m sick,

 And I agree, I feel diseased. 

My body feels wrong and shameful. 

Am I supposed to feel like this? 

I was told it was normal,

I was told it was okay,

I was told I was big enough to handle this. 

I still don’t believe that. 

I still have dreams about it. 

I’m still diagnosed with what soldiers get after being shot. 

This doesn't feel normal.
