Nothing has changed, I'm still distressed
You find it easy to just stall
I'm left to wonder, am I next?
These deep concerns have been expressed
Do guns still hide within these walls?
Nothing has changed, I'm still distressed
I am but one who feels suppressed
You're not the ones who walk these halls
I'm left to wonder, am I next?
My life or death is just a jest
You treat it like it's not your fault
Nothing has changed, I'm still distressed
Like baby birds perched in a nest
I watch as one begins to fall
I'm left to wonder, am I next?
Because you leave this unaddressed
If bullets spray do I just crawl?
Nothing has changed, I'm still distressed
I'm left to wonder, am I next?
Throughout his youth, Sean Mayfair has found great passion in conveying his worldly values through different literary and constructive actions. By putting his work out into the world, Sean hopes to bring attention to issues that he feels need to be addressed and further explored, virtually posing questions to his viewers as they read and expecting to hear an answer in response.
