We're proud to announce that 805 writer Vivian McInerny's first picture book, The Whole Hole Story, was published January 12, 2021 by an imprint of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, one of the "Big Five" publishers.
In The Whole Hole Story, a little girl named Zia imagines what would happen if the hole in her pocket was large enough to catch elephants or even dig a tunnel through the Earth. The book has received fantastic reviews from Kirkus, Booklist, and Publishers Weekly.
805 has had the honor of publishing McInerny's short story "Snow Drifts" in our second issue, as well as her essay "Books Before Furniture" in our My Home Library series. Connect with Vivian on Twitter and Instagram @VivianMac, and see more of her writing at ello.co/vivianmcinerny
