My Mental Circus

Thoughts in my brain,

Spin around like a hurricane.

Worry, Hope, Fear, and more,

Travel around like a circus on tour!

Anxiety soars like an acrobat,

Insecurity roars like a lion,

And I am the clown

That doesn’t dare to show a frown.

So I paint on a smile,

That stays put for a while,

Until I’m all alone.

Then, 

And only then,

Are my true emotions shown.
